Color Your Challenge

The importance of female entrepreneurship for economic development is widely recognized, but women entrepreneurs are still a minority.

Sometimes they face obstacles that many male entrepreneurs do not have to face when starting a business.

We used the EXPO frequency data on the question "Main challenges in getting the business started" to create a poster,

which showed the common situation of female entrepreneurs.

The percentage of colours indicates the proportion of female entrepreneurs experiencing this challenge.

We also have selected watercolours similar to those used in the UN Women Thematic Area Colour scheme.

Just as women entrepreneurs encounter a variety of challenges that are not single and divisive,

but often interact and mix, so the colours used to represent these difficulties flow and mix with each other in the water.
